A Mother's View
A mother walks in
 Into a room
 Where her son has slept
 Till the afternoon

 She looks to the floor
 And there she sees
 A mess of clothing
 And books and games

 She looks all about
When she can’t take any more
 She starts to get cleaning
 A gigantic chore

 She wonders in awe
How this room is like this
 How such a good boy
 Could make such a mess

 She looks all around
  When she is through
 But she knows
 Just what he will do

 He will go on sleeping
 And playing and reading
 And leaving all his stuff
 For her to clean
