A day to live
Opening my eyes slowly, I felt a streak of sunlight hit my once closed eyelids, not helping but notice all the blinds shut except for a little crack that had caused the fleck to come in. How strange I contemplated as I arose from the corner of the living room tiled floor. Starting to go around I opened the dusty sangria colored sheets, exposing the morning light all around the tight spaced house. This unusual sensation quickly ran through my body as I noticed the kids walking up and down the street, my fingers starting to tremble by the way they all started at me almost in a psychopathic way.
“Stay inside They’re not safe for you” murmured my head as I quickly drew the blinds to a sharp close, the same way it looked when I woke up.
Rushing my way towards the door- I noticed the door knob was already lock. Again, a very strange sensation came across my spine as I had remembered leaving it unlocked for myself to go out.
“You can’t kill us” The slight voice repeated to me once again in a anxious voice.
I could feel my bones tense up as I hurried myself to my bedroom, quickly locking the door behind me. A sigh of relieve softly left my unchapped lips unknown of the danger I was in the room till noticing the slightly dented mark on the bed sheets. My mind traveled in whirls as it became louder that the dangerous thing in here was coming to get me. I felt the tears threatening to spill onto my ivory scratched skin. As it seemed that the amount of exercise that I had done already wasn’t enough, I quickly ran again to the kitchen, drawing a knife from the closest compartment to me and as in a blink of an eye, the shadows that had finally presented themselves to me passed the entrance of the kitchen and darting themselves to the living room.
“YOU’RE NOT HERE FOR ME” My voice screeched as I slowly rambled my way backwards, closing my eyes once again. I could feel the static voices who were once just above a whisper overpower my own thoughts. “They know about you Alexander and they’re coming for you” “We will never leave you” “You need us”.
I couldn’t help but run- thinking maybe they’ll leave me alone but it had only got worse. Almost as like the void had had it all planned, I felt my foot fumble over an unknown object. “We got you” A devilishly voice whispered to me but this time it wasn’t in my head, these sinister words were being said right aside of my ear. My heart raced faster and faster as I limped my way to the edge of the living room, trying to find the light out of it but ending up just trapping myself against the walnut colored walls. It didn’t take long before the shadows finally marked its way to me, my vision finally coming to an unreachable darkness I can’t help but remember once in a dream.
Opening my eyes slowly, I felt a streak of sunlight hit my once closed eyelids, not helping but noticing all the blinds shut except for a little crack that had caused the fleck to come in. How strange I said, contemplating as I arose from the corner of the living room tiled floor.

I read a article about a woman with schizophrenia and found it very interesting, so I decided to write a story about it
