Spring
Spring approaches. Flowers commence their blossom and color will return to the dullness of winter.
The grass is reaching high, rich with a glossy green pigment, no more lifeless yellow.
The trees are thick and full with healthy green leaves, no more bare branches and exposed trunks.
The air is moist and smelling of sweet pollen and flowers, no more cracked lips or dry, runny noses.
The sky is sunny and clear and as blue as the ocean, no more white, depressing emptiness.
The sun is low and warm, touching your skin like warm laundry out of the drier.
The sunset is vibrantly pink, with an inky swirl of orange.
The nights are quiet and cool, the voices of insects and owls putting me to sleep.
Our surrounding make incredible changes as spring approaches.
