Alone Again
She wants the silence to engulf her,
Like a storm taking over the sea.
She wants it to take her under and drown her thoughts.
She wants to feel the loneliness.
He wants to help her,
Reach out and grab her.
He wants to hug her sorrows away.
He wants to scare her demons and bring her back into the light.
She drowns herself in the darkness of her room,
Lets herself hang from her unspoken words.
He was too late,
The light inside her,
Now gone.
