faith is an oasis in heart which will never be reached by the caravan of thinking-Khalil Gibran

One day, I’ll meet you again,
In the same place,
In a perplexed state;
When you’d look at me,
And without a smile,
You'd say, “Hey!”

Memories would flash by,
As you’d stare,
Into my eye,
To find that emotion,
Which once,
Had the name of care.

With nothing found,
No love and no hatred
Profound,
You’d look away,
And say,
“Good to see you around.”

My eyes would question,
Your existence
And mine,
Recall that moment,
When I was,
Meant to be thine.

“Let it go,” you’d say,
As I’d look up,
To meet your gaze,
Wondering,
If you were the one,
For whom I had been suffering all along.

Without an answer,
I’d look away;
With no return,
I’ll retract my way,
‘Cause you would never be,
The one, who’d stay.

As I’d walk ahead,
You’d want,
To stop me,
To hold me still,
And to shake me enough,
And to talk to me.

But you wouldn’t
Make that effort,
As you’d know,
The reason for which,
I would have walked back,
Without a word.

And as I’d walk ahead,
I’d silently pray,
That never in your life,
Would you ever leave,
Another girl,
Abandoned,
In any way.

Because, one day,
I’ll meet you again,
In the same place,
In a perplexed state;
When you’d look at me,
And without a smile,
Would say, “Hey!”
