What is it?
I feel so mixed up
About ready to explode
An active volcano
That has no joy.

What is it that I’m feeling?
Can’t quite pin it down
Is it helplessness or sorrow?
Anger or fright?
It drives me crazy to no end
I’ve got to do something
But what?
Oh what are these feelings?
What is it?
Am I able to put
My daily fears in check
When evening slithers and crawls
Its way silently in?
The time my fears awaken
And haunt me to no escape
I’m glade when morning arrives
To chase away the night
I let out a happy sigh
No longer confusled
Not having to ask the question
What is it?

I feel so mixed up
About ready to explode
An active volcano
That has no joy.
