Abused by Love
Nothing but shouts could be heard
He was angry
She was crying
Yet another fight that none could win
She brought her slap
He brought his jab
Back and forth the blows went
Both physical and emotional bruises made
All they needed was an escape
But, they could not abandon the pain
Both were blinded by love
Not true love, but their own corrupted version of love
They hated each other
Yet craved one another
A constant cycle of pain and anger
Followed by joy and peace
Only they could wound each other
Only they could heal each other
They trapped themselves in a life of misery
Which they loved so dearly
