Spring is here.

And its a time of new beginings.

Of me and you.

Just like a flower thats budding,

so are we.

Both together, and individually.

Tempature is rising,

that means its summer.

And the heat has seriously started.

You and me? We're closer than ever.

Always together. Twenty four/seven.

The hotter it gets-the more I want you.

Fall has come. And it's started

to cool down. And so have we.

Are we drifting apart? Maybe.

The leaves are changing colors.

And so are you.

You act brand new.

Its winter now, and we've drifted apart.

I wish that I would've known from the start,

that we would not last.

It's hard because I'm thinking about our past.

Cold. Is how I feel, because you're gone.

I miss you, oh how I do.

Before I could blink, its spring again.

The green is starting to bud, my friend.

Birds chirp and sing.

I smile now, because I know one thing.

I've changed, oh I'm not the same.

I'm starting something new,

but not with you.

I was inspired to write this piece because of a relationship that I learned many wonderful lessons from. I hope that people who are experiencing a break up will gain strength from this poem.
