A New Life

As a stem,
she is unnoticed.
Slowly growing and becoming bigger.
She starts to show her presence,
a brand new bud sitting on her pedestal.
She is small now,
but won’t be for long.
She becomes rounder,
more prominent than before.
Ready for her outstanding opening.
Finally the time has come;
She becomes the beautiful bud
that blooms into this world.
Her rosy pink face
cries for the first time.
Gentle hands hold her
as delicately as the soft petals of
a rose.
