There's a little girl
laying in a bed somewhere-
crying,
wondering where it all went wrong.
Wondering where her mommy went
if she's ever coming back,
what she did wrong to drive her away.
She's three years old and it's been three months now,
Living with her step aunt she now knows as “Mom”.
Still,
wondering if that stranger will ever come home.
Shes forced into the idea of a new family,
and sadly enough is okay with it-
not knowing any better she's okay with it.
She has a kitten now,
not knowing that their buying her time with money and affection to con her into forgetting.
Forgetting the life she used to live,
the people she once needed in order to dream-
They distract her with the thrill of adrenaline highs,
also known as scary movies and darkness.
They bring to her a passion of the night,
make her out to be a true horror fanatic.
But their true purpose,
They make her forget.
