Oceans Are Bigger
Oceans are bigger than the troubles that plague my mind when I wake up in the morning and when I try to fall asleep at night
Oceans are bigger in tales about knights and castles with damsels in distress than they are 30,000 feet above the ground.
Oceans are bigger than your bed but that gives me space to be away from you and that seems like an unnecessary risk.
Oceans are bigger than us but drops in them makes waves and that’s exactly what we’ll make when we jump head first into our life together.
Oceans are bigger than the continents but that doesn’t make them nearly as important as the Saturday nights and Sunday mornings I will spend with your groggy voice and the tangled sheets around our legs.
Oceans are bigger than you and me but your eyes are so much more interesting and I’d rather look into them than into any ocean you could show me.
