Extracting Skulls
July 9, 2015
The sword
pierces my skull
extracts my soul.
The pain is sharp
aching like a pounding stone
on my head.
Descending into hell
my soul flies into the heat of the fire
as blood drips from my insides.
Burning and screaming
from the
underground.
Arriving at
the end
of my beginning.
Something inside me stops flowing
and starts releasing
from my veins.
Dripping into a puddle
of red that grows
darker and darker.
I smile at the thought
of suffocating from the smoke
as I drown in the fires of hell.

I adore this. I have been at this point in my life, and your writing is the kind of thing that lets me, along with other people know that we are not alone!
This was written during a time when I was severely depressed, and I took it out on my writing.
