Splinters
Splinters are horrible; I have had my fare share of them
They are sneaky, evil, gross, and disgusting
They imbed themselves inside you while working with wood
Plywood is the most common giver of splinters
Splinters are not always recognized until the pain begins
Their sting and burn is worse than any bug bite
Pain will come no matter the size or shape
The process of extracting a splinter, is worse than its reception
It is most difficult when you yourself, have to extract it
The anxiety certainly goes down when another does it
You have to dig in and pinch out the annoying thing
Slowly inching this foreign object out of your body
Tweezers and needles are your tools of extrapolation
Both are dangerous enemies to splinters and sadly your skin
In the end splinters are a rough experience
I will always remember some of my most painful splinters
The pain caries on in memories
The easy splinters are overshadowed by the evil
