The Struggle
Sing in me, Muse, and through me tell the story
of a girl struggling in many aspects of life.
A brown-eyed young woman
with friends of a multitude, but few.
Help me tell the story
with struggles of old and new to conquer
at a place of knowledge and family.
She saw it coming ahead of time
knew exaclty what to do
and sat up many night thinking,
zoned out many days contemplating,
if she really was ready for what lied ahead.
But, not soon enough, did she comlpetely understand
but, not soon enough, did she flly equip herself,
for the news came slowly, then suddenly.
It came and crushed many,
through sorrow and secret,
and caused the internal struggle of her,
and slowly crumbled her joy down,
into something but a crumb,
and only to what?
To be lost forever?
To "prosper a new life"?
