It burns and it eats away,

All that's in its way,

It scorches, turns inside out--

With pain,

That chases away any doubts,

Left behind from his older person,

As he transforms into a newer version--

And worsens.

One who sees snow as fire--

One who bitterly desires--

To put it out.

So that the flames may rest,

And in turn, so may he.

But he doesn't see that the fire is snow,

In his delusions, what he see's as an illusion--

Is rapidly becoming real.

Coming to life, Leaving a fiery trail behind.

What has he blindly done?

So he stands back, doused by water.

But ashes cannot become again what was once--

Such is the Story of Anger.

The author's comments:

Anger is something that can overpower a person and drive them to do crazy things, things that they regret afterwards. I hope I am able to show that in this poem.
