The Long Shot

Stepping on doesn’t feel the same,
stepping off does.
Don’t start, don’t finish.
Striving, struggling.
Their tired I’m not,
Why don’t you give me a shot?
To prove myself,
to be brave.
So many things to do,
yet you play what pleases you.
It seems like a long shot sitting right here,
but you’ve seen what I can do.
Just give me a chance to prove to you.
