Identity
Hand me the silver
and glue
I spoke too soon
for an introvert like myself, my shelf
is surprisingly empty
these days
Don't get tangled in the vines
of polite laughter
and political lies
carefully maintaining mainstream personalities
forgetting
past lives
or were we ever different
from each other or ourselves?
each different face has the same agenda
to be or not to be
that is the passion
so much time spent pretending
to care
who could dare to be sincere?
Holding the spoon,
why not take it?
this is my medicine
My head'll soon disappear
in the mirror
with the rest of me
and my identity
