This place we call our world
I look at the world.
With my eyes open.
I see lies and hate all over.
I see judgement where there should be love.
I see pain, sorrow, and loneliness.
I look at the world.
With my heart.
I feel darkness.
I feel death where there should be life.
I feel sadness when there should be happiness.
I feel fear, hatred, and loss.
I look at this world.
I can see what life brings me.
I see that no matter what happens in my life.
The world will always destroy the things around me.
There will always be sorrow, pain, fear, hatred,
and loss.
I see I will always have to be in a fight for happiness
in this world of hate.
