From the Heart of Human Kindness
Writing and thinking keeps my history alive,
Even while I breathe and wonder.
The curiosity of clashing storms lives inside of me,
And sometimes I must admit their secrets.
Whether I can be free or fly against my will,
It is solely a goal that has to come from within.
This inner might is more powerful than any physical feat,
As it can only be produced from an iron faith.
Such a belief may refine itself in any subject of any matter.
I'm not a very religious person,
But I do believe in a natural being that watches life go on.
I'm not a very confident person,
But I do what I must to ensure that right wins over wrong.
I confide in myself for answers to rhetorical questions,
But even that is never enough.
The fire that keeps us moving,
The want to survive,
The need to be more than what we strive for...
All of the notions that we take to be human are connected.
They act as the rungs of a step ladder in our lives,
And every need of want is recorded in a personal history.
The recordings that we preserve are what build us.
The thoughts and memories of those we love are the foundations around such creations.
No matter the size of care we have for individuals,
In the end,
We will always be there to risk everything for anyone.
The natural instinct for human survival may be brittle and selfish,
But that's only the general, broad point of view against it.
If one were to look deep inside of the human spirit,
Then surely there would be a spark.
A spark of meaning.
A spark of true selflessness.
A spark that may ignite a fueling station of harmless revolution.
All that it takes to move one individual to their end is to push ever so many buttons in the correct sequence.
If appointed in the correct order,
Those said individuals that may only care for themselves,
On a broad spectrum,
May very well cause the end of their lives.
Just to save anyone that they can,
Just to prove something that was once lost,
Just to say that there is always an option in any given situation...
They will be there,
And they will protect those that are in need.
That iron will,
That iron belief,
It resides within all of us.
Forever it shall remain here,
And until the day we realize this as a whole,
Or individually even,
It will wait patiently and resolutely.
Awaiting for us to champion its cause,
And challenging us to pick up the reins of saving humankind from its own devious nature.
