The Doc
It started as a dream,
a simple harmless thought.
She wanted to be a vet,
so she’d be called the doc.
Horses were her life,
best friends from the beginning.
They became her specialty,
after those eight years in waiting.
Her graduation day came quick,
her family was all grinning.
Asking her how she felt,
now starting from the beginning,
Sending her on her way,
wishing her a big break.
To start her life anew,
and claim her perfect place.
The work has begun to slow,
and her years are slowly dwindling.
But what started as a dream,
is now her full reality.
Animals have been saved,
their families were ever so grateful.
The work was long and difficult,
for the woman they call the doc.
