Dawning
Grey is the world in the daylight
The dark is present, but in flight
Grey is heaven in the morning
All is hushed, serenity king
Lake breaks on the stony shore
A wind comes knocking at the door
The rocky hill looks over all
A leaf dances in yearly fall
I rise to my feet in the now bracing breeze
And howl out my joy and delight to be free
My trouble will end and sorrow will pass
The waiting only I pray to be fast
