We were once so close and now look at us
All we have are the memories
The days flew by and we never looked back
Now all we have are the memories
We spent all summer under the sun and running loose
Now all we have are the memories
We knew everything about each other, even the deep dark secrets
And now we’re just left with the memories
Then you found that new boy down the block and left me all alone
All I have are the memories
So when you remember how much fun we had and look back on our better days
All you’ll have are the memories
