The Fall I was 14
Cool air filled the town,
crisp leaves fell from the trees, crunching and crunching as we walked.
Down the road we walked,
laughter, jokes, and sarcasm filled our conversations.
Cold nights by the fire, warm apple cider
Sweaters, jeans, hats and all.
Football game after football game,
Touchdown! And the crowd crowd goes wild.
Fairs with warm popcorn and candy apples.
Lights, cold rain, Pumpkin Spice Lattes,
Afternoon walks.
Friendships come and gone, always moving on.
Red, yellow, blue, white, orange and green,
those are the colors of the fall that I was 14.
