WAKE UP!!
All I wanted was your approval,
I would die for your love even just a little.
I can’t sleep,
And this blade is biting in deep.
OPEN YOUR EYES MOM!
ARE YOU BLIND?
What you’re doing is not right,
Don’t you know your kids are crying at night?
One retaliates with drugs and pills,
One splits open a vein that slowly kills.
One doesn't even speak your name,
yea I would be ashamed.
You give this man all your love,
But he hits you not just in the waste but in everything above.
You've gotten to the point where you don't get life's meaning,
You can't look in your child's eyes, the eyes that are fiending.
Not truly for the drugs or the urge to cut,
but instead for the want that their mother will get out of this rut.
Opens her arms,
To a child that self harms.
And gives hugs,
To a child slowly dieing of drugs.
And offers love to a child that can't see,
The wonderful person her mother used to be.
You need to fill our lives with unconditional caring,
Not standing in the sidelines just staring.
MOM WAKE UP,
DON'T BE THE PERSON WHO GIVES UP!
Someone else is raising your kid,
How does it feel to know you were found unfit.
I don’t write these words so you feel bad,
No I sit here writing them so you know the life we could've had.
And now as i close what i wanted to say I wish this would have played out another way.
