Ever Seen...
You ever seen that lonely boy?
He was scarred long ago
Everyday at school, he hides
His personal problems each day
He has a past
full of stitches and scars
Treated like a statistic by many
Reinvented himself
to a whole new being
Every morning, From Periods 1 to 3
A sense of forgetfulness
fills 'round him
From Periods 4 to 7
A sense of despair
swallows him whole
After School to his Slumber
He faces the bastard of his brother
He doesn't say a word about this
To forgotten shadows
Every Night, he puts his hands
On his worried head
Thinking...
How he'll never go to prom
How he'll never settle down someday
How he'll never go to college
How he'll live on the streets, unemployed and dying
Sometimes, he thinks of ending it all
A bullet to the brain
An insane jump, 900 feet below
A lethal plethora of pills
He tries to talk about his problems
But they don't listen
Saying things like
"You'll get through this..."
"I'm always there"
"I'll always listen"
All of them clichéd
He likes this girl too
But she's always on her phone
Always with her friends
He likes her talks, her comforting mood
He misses her, she's now cold and inattentive.
He doesn't listen to advice
Because he gave up on
every aspect of his life
From academic to personal
Who might that boy be
You ask?
It's Me
I'm that quiet intellect, you call
THE MAN
After I read this poem, just think about what I said
I don't need the "This Poem is DEEP"
Or "I know it came from the heart"
I know it is.
99% of you guys
Don't know what I've been through
Sometimes it may seem crazy
But often the crazy stuff is true
And the normal stuff isn't
The words may be unpleasant
But it's from a guy growing
Up in a society full of negativity
Who survived hardships
With a tough family life
