Once Upon A Time
Once upon a time in a land far far away
there lived a stunning princess who made all the men swoon and sway
But no average prince would this princess settle on
he had to be a charmer, one who rode on a horse early at dawn
One day this princess fell head over heels in love
with a man who didn’t think of her with any sweet belove.
Her sunshine hair couldn’t please him and her beauty went unknown,
for this prince already had eyes for one girl alone.
The jelousy shook this little princess “Why doth thty look upon thee,
when by heart beats in one tone, ‘we’?”
“I watch you watching her” the princess sadly declaired
and realized that love had left her with nothing left but despair.
Her sunshine dwindled, her brilliant lights faded away
it seemed that this prince did not want her to stay.
She took her heavy heart and continued on her way
only to be stopped by a voice calling her name and say...
“Oh princess, sweet princess, don’t leave me here alone!”
She turned to see her prince while her heavy heart flown.
Perplexion crossed her eyes as she looked into his
but as he smiled into her soul, she melted into him.
Her battered heart was singing,
her smile now as radiant as the sun;
But yet, this man did not love her her conscious nagged in her mind.
Was she not better alone than with someone whom she needed to hide?
She gave him a sad smile and turned her back away,
this fairy tale has a less magical ending, one rarely told today.
The princess held her head high as she began to walk away
and she decided to hold her heart for the one man who would always stay.
