Little lonely ginger cat
Every time I walk into my street
There the ginger is level with my feet
He's fat and round and lies in a ball
But when he sees my he sits up tall
Sometimes he hides behind the tangly trees
And blends in beneath the autumny leaves
He creeps over and taps my leg with his paw
I give him a stroke and he admires me more
I kneel down to give him some love
He puts his head on my hand and gives it a shove
I rub under his cheek and tickle his fur
And wait 'til he lets out an almighty purr
He tilts his head and closes his eyes
But sadly its now time for me to rise
I spring to my feet and walk to my door
He follows me and rolls around playfully on the floor
I twist the keys and place a foot in the hall
I look back around because he gives me a call
I beam at his meow and say bye-bye
I peer out the spyhole and watch him chase a fly
Little lonely ginger ball of fluff, he pleads,
He just wants a friend, because that's all anybody needs
