Alcatraz Prison, a.k.a. My Mind
I find myself lost,
 Darkness blankets me,
 While fear swallows me,
Light is now but an inky smoke.

 I grope,
 Searching for a sign,
 Pleading for a reason,

 To all my pain,
 To all my sorrow,
 Why?

 No one answers me,
When I cry from my lungs,
 Desiring to be loved,
 To be wanted.

A light burns through the barrier of shadows,
 My eyes open,
Only to find that my heart is imprisoned,
 The lock and key dismantled,
And I am caged within my own mind.
