The moon and the sun
I have conversations with the moon
At night.
She tells me about the sun,
I tell her about you.
I tell her about how I drown
In the deep oceans of your gaze.
She tells me
About how
The sun makes everything
Shine brighter
Even on the darkest
Of days.
She tells me about
How the sun appears
Blue Up Close.
But to us
She’s
More of a
yellowish tone.
I tell her about
How from afar you
may also seem
Blue
But up close
I can see
The golden flakes of
Joy
In your eyes
Peek through
You are my sun
And I am your
Moon..
