The ridged wood
The ridged wood and nails that make up this very gentle home
The couches with cushions soft like a marshmallow
And divine curtains to make the lighting just right
You hold my every memory in the back of your mind like a hidden gem
Waiting on me to arrive home to soak up in your endless comfort
You are my foundation
The place I feel most secure
The place I can be myself
The place that has seen my highest and my lowest
And still accepts me with open arms
The walls that have heard my silly secrets
And my blaring cries
The doors that have been slammed and closed gently from time to time
The windows that hold the most appealing view
And a bed so large and cozy it could be made for two
All of the laughs and smiles that have healed many droughts
You hold some of the very pieces that make up who I am
You have given me a safe haven
And an arm to cry on
How can I thank you enough
For being my home

My home comes with many memories that I could never forget. Sometime we need to give thanks and appreciation to something that cannot talk.
