Josie
“Josie”
Short curly hair and a big brown nose
So snuggly and drowsy
The best face to see in the morning.
Her greetings when I get home,
Her golden tail wagging wildly
And a smile on her face,
This is my favorite part of each and every day.
We race outside and go play fetch
I throw the ball
And she hops to retrieve it
Then we play and play some more.
Inside we go,
Straight to the kitchen
Where I end up sharing my snack
Because she gives me those puppy dog eyes
That I just can’t seem to resist.
As the sun starts to set
And it's time for bed
Into my room she goes
I tuck her in, say goodnight
And kiss her little nose.
It's the perfect way to end the night
Before she starts to snooze.
