Paint Me Like I Am
I know this it is hard to be yourself
it always was
it always will be
I know this people say “just be you”
but judge those who aren't the same
those who don’t fit the worlds cookie cutter image
I know this everyone has unique quirks and qualities
I think we’re all made differently for a reason, every dimple, scar, curl, stretch mark,
blemish, curve is beautiful
I think every belief we have was blessed on us for a reason what you preach, what you
teach, who you love, who you hate, what the world needs, what the world doesn't
have room for, what we are given is important
(It's our loss)
We need to listen to what we say
We need to hear other peoples truths
We need to respect the many differences of every single human on the planet
I know every dream is valid
I know every heart needs blood to pump
I know everyone's choices is what makes them who they are, not their color, gender, belief
or whatever it's how they choose to treat others
We need to love each other and ourselves
We need acceptance.. We deserve acceptance
We owe it to the human race to recreate the status quo
And find a way to spread peace
Paint me extraordinary
Paint me peculiar
Paint me Bella
I am myself
