We Used to be a Family
I used to believe me family was my everything
But now I loathe the days we are all together
I always knew there was something off with my parents
But I never would have thought they would hate each other
I once begged my parents to take my sisters and I to brunch
But now I only find comfort with information on my phone during these dreadful meals
If I could go back in time, even before I was born
I would have reminded my parents of who they were individually and what they stood for.
