Fallen Souls
She cradled her children from evils.
Every pain they felt weakened her perils.
The drizzling of fresh water and sun risings eastwards,
The cool winds whistles a melody accompanied by the chirping bird.
Each year brought around new family members.
But left her holding on to the memory of dying embers,
Yet she was happy for no one disturbed them.
For no one could find them.
Suddenly her children disappeared, never to come back.
The cool wind turned to gray fog, and ground went black,
The fresh water only weakened her children, but hidden remained the true cost
She watched as everything she cared for was forever lost.
Soon she was the only one standing, isolated and alone
Amongst creatures far smaller only for her to turn to stone.
