Black Girl Magic!
Curly hair or straight hair
Light skin, brown skin, or dark skin
We were all born beautiful queens
We shouldn’t care what people say about us
Like how our skin is too dark or how our hair is “nappy”
Or how we’re too “loud” or how we’re too “ghetto”
We should be thankful how different we are from other people
We should love how our melanin be poppin in the summertime
But remember when they used to talk down on us, now they try to copy our style
Now they wanna lay their edges, wear box braids, etc
they used to call us bad things and criticized us for being black
Even though we can’t do nothing about it now
We are still going to shine and glow
We are still going to slay our BLACK GIRL MAGIC!

I wrote this poem because it's something all black girls can relate to!
