Keep Walking
They walk down the aisle
They look around
The crowd whispers
The people glare
Who are they?
Who do they think they are?
Useless
Not ready
They look forward
They keep walking
They reach the field
They take the medal
Bravery
Courage
People change so quickly
Opinions change in an instant
They don’t mind
They never did
They only ever cared about one thing
Getting to this point
Medals
Trophies
They were nice
Flashy
But the real victory
Was getting there
Despite the protests
And the shouting
No matter what happened
They always kept walking
