Mango Tree
Tiny suns grow in solidarity.
Hidden under the luminous growth of lush,
peaking out like a child playing a game.
I reach my small arms to reach their
long shoots of bamboo, brushing the sky.
The coolness of the tree
shields light checking in that mid-afternoon.
The growing little suns big in confidence
It sits proudly round and filled like
a satiated child.
Glistens in daylight, ready for plucking.
A satisfying click as it departs.
Maybe gravity befriends it?
As it falls and
falls.
But still its wholesome sun.
Resting under the mango tree.
