Harsh, wide open basin.

Everything calm as can be.

Daily life flowing as usual.

People have toiled throughout

the day, ready to depart to their

humble abode.

Warnings-

For those to take heed,

to only leave their shelter

unless their reason is justified.

Humans preparing to the best of their

ability of tracking the untrackable.

There is a dusty, musty mountain that

overlooks this arid landscape.

Asserting its dominance over

the man made, polluted civilization that

lies abroad where it follows.

The calm before the storm,

comes to a screeching halt.

In a ripple of time the night

is painted clear as day.

The hottest thing known to man,

distracts everyone from their lives.

An abstract, but deceivingly ugly

image of what nature

has to offer.

This image leaves all those

fortunate enough to witness in utter

astonishment.

Vibrations are felt from this gleaming,

adamant, current of death from anyone

unfortunate enough to be possessed by it.

Reveals itself in such a complex pattern.

Striking the lifeless, dry bump in the earth,

Precisely where it was meant to be.

It leaves in the loudest of bangs,

Ringing in the eardrums of surrounding victims.

Comes whenever it feels is necessary,

And is gone whenever in a flash.

And mocking us on its way out.
