The Girl
She dresses head to toe in her finest clothes every day, to please you.
She shows off her most precious jewelry, just to please you.
What are you doing for her?
Nothing.
You watch as she tries her hardest to fit in with society.
No one saves her from the trouble.
No one stops her from wasting her time.
Because, in fact, society was just as ignorant as she.
Society craves for other members to fall into their trap of a “perfect person”,
When, in fact, the perfect person is the one who stands against it.
No one told her that she didn’t have to put on that layer makeup.
No one told her that she was going about life the wrong way.
Now that her life is over and done,
She realizes that those people who tried to keep her perfect,
Were just as senseless as the idea itself.
However, she lies in her lonesome, quiet grave,
Unconscious of the fact that her time was precious,
Yet it was not.
Time can be wasted or enjoyed.
SHE wants you to learn the things she didn’t.
Experience the things she didn’t.
Time is ticking.
