My older family’s experiences overload me,

“You need to do what is needed to get the destination”
Yet I appreciate the care and way to the necessity

Yet I know the look of completeness they don
From their Hindi beliefs to not worry

In cleaning the house, household tasks and time for basic education
They insist my best with career opportunities in my facility
I am their next history to pass on

Still I see some customs redundant, I am not a pawn
I take the ones I like and keep my individuality

There are different struggles in each generation
So including mine with my younger generations is comely
