people say
People say you can’t do it,
you don’t have the skills.
People say you’ll never make it to your dreams,
you won’t become a star,
you can’t beat out this person,
you can’t beat out that person.
People say only one in a million make it big,
you’re not that one in a million.
People say might as well work for an educational scholarship.
People say that sports scholarships are too hard.
They say that there will always be one person better than you.
Critics bring out all the bad in athletes.
But what do they know?
They don’t see our effort,
the blood, sweat, and tears.
And what do these critics do?
Sit back and watch…
They don’t deserve to talk smack to a determined, young athlete.
These type of people are wrong.
The critics have no idea how great you are.
Determination is what sets athletes apart!
We work and never give up…
Until we get what we want.
