Drifting Star
Drifting star,
 Throw me a needle and thread
 Dyed the deepest blue thus far,
 So I can weave you back into this quilt of fading red
 (The dull canvas of my life)
 In the hopes that your luminescent shine
 Will draw attention away from my pale surrender;
 The fraying edges knotted into a pearlescent design
 That paints a new picture of intricate, yet frail, splendor.
