Properties of the Caste System
Properties of the Caste System
It takes a long time, but the Caste System fades too
But not before it clings on you
You know your place and you know where you stand
Nature made us animals but we call ourselves “man”
An animal that communicates and sees what is shown
Soon all men think together and not on their own
Thousands of years after society was born
We still witness our individuality being tastelessly torn
When the mob rejects you for this and that
And pull away their welcome mat
Because if you’re not like them then you’re on your own
You join the other invalids but you’re still alone
The intimation becomes obvious before long
That under the surface is where you belong
If you hear that every dog has his day
The dog gets goaded into its cage
You can bark until your face turns blue
It’s no use endeavoring a deeper hue
“You don’t know my pain” is what I hear people say
But everyone braves the day
Everyone some time gets beaten
Remember we’re animals so eat or be eaten
And when you’re predator your grin is fake
You look at the prey and think “Poor guy could use a break”
