Do you know what I think of
When you say the color red?

I think of the night my heart had hurt,
The night my wrists had bled.

Do you know what I still feel
When you say the color red?

I still feel your arms around me
As we're lying on your bed.

Do you know what I want to say
When you say the color red?

"Now that you've torn out my heart,
I would much rather be dead".

I know. But within the boundaries others are placing around you you are grabbing hold and choosing what to do. No one can control your maturity, your standards, your love. And you are setting them VERY high. As for your heart, yes he may always have a piece of it. But you are deciding you want your heart back and are working towards making it whole again.

Thank you, but I'm still not so sure that all of my heart is here - I still feel like something is missing and I don't know if or when it will be whole again. As for me taking control of my life, I haven't really gained that much control - I'm still at the mercy of others' criticism.
