With shortness of breath, I'll explain the infinite- how rare and beautiful it is that we exist
By sleeping at last

The sky above Vienna
is unbearably blue
The clouds float west
or I don't exactly know

The young play guitar
The elderly play chess
As if nothing has happened
As if everyhing is normal
As if it was a completely normal day

I don't want to know what you do,
Don't want to know what you think

Oh I want to go far, far away
I lay the splinters of my soul,
under your doormat
I leave this  city of memories behind

The sky above Vienna is slowly tainting grey
In the rear mirror I see flames
But I don't pay too close attention
I open the window,
feel the fresh wind in my hair

Turn up the music a bit
Doesn't matter where I'm going
Main thing: Go, go, go!

I don't want to know what you do,
Don't want to know what you think

Oh I want to go far, far away
I lay the splinters of my soul,
under your doormat
I leave this  city of memories behind

Oh I want to go far, far away from you
Start from scratch somewhere new
And leave this sad city behind me
My city of memories and pain
