The Song He Sang
The golden light dances from the sky
As your silver sigh leaves impressions on my mind
As your frozen breath escapes your lips
 Mine are sealed tight
 (2nd time): *

The sinking sun has a lovely glow
Like your lips our footprints in the snow
Start far apart, but in the end so close
I’ll have you know this was better than I hoped

 You can’t forget him

But you’re not sure he’d remember your name

Don’t cry, don’t cry little girl

It’s well known that this world’s not sane

A dying star shot through the sky
All the other stars lost their luster that night
I held on tight, but it died so quickly
It burned so bright, but it will never repeat for me

 *What’s inside I can’t deny so I better not try…
You never lose, you never lose
You never lose, you never lose
 Somebody who never lost you

And every song, and every song
And every right note, and every wrong
Is a love note, keep holding on
