Ambidextrous
So I’m staring out from the sea shore
Lost in the gray-blue I stand before
The sky melts around me, and I’m so alone
Clutching your gift I am preparing to throw

But these toes of mine are parallel
 My elbows refusing to bend
With which hand do I throw?
 Or did I ever know?

You’ve stripped me of all I own
‘til I was just skin and bone
And while I picked up myself
 You slipped away and left

 I only want temporary relief
Just to feel the secret seconds of peace
Or will the man hiding in the light
Take away my last remaining right

 But on the other hand
I have crushed rocks into sand
 You’ll see scars from times
 When I’ve known I’m right.

There’s a side you have not seen
 It’s my creativity
Design, finesse, my skill set so deft
I’ll show you everything I have left.
