4 Haikus About a Cello and Its Player
  His eyelids flutter
Deft fingers slide down the board
  Leaving fingerprints
  Bow dives, comes back up
  Every move releases force
  A resonant tone
  The moments connect
Songs of stars, and just for now
  They are unearthly
  Time’s up, so he hides
  His secret identity
  Under some textbooks

My friend was playing cello, and it moved me to write these haikus.
Not everything is about studying.
