English Fails Me
I've always been good at English
Never failed a poem or an essay
Never a book I didn't want to read
Or a propmt I couldn't write
But as I grew out of sing song rhymes
Those innocent simple times
English began to fail me
It's the feeling that words can't describe
It's the outside in me feeling inside
I can't write this poem
Because English fails me here
English won't but I've grown
I don't know what to say anymore
Too many words not enough meaning
Tears stream down hot and heavy
As I struggle to not not write this
But how can I?
The English lexicon is only 26 letters
The page is still blank but my cheeks get wetter
What I'm trying to say is all the things I can't
