Parkland
We will not be silenced.
We will shout down the halls.
We will cause a riot.
We will stand up,
Heart to heart.
Children lay bleeding out,
As we dare to debate saving them.
We will show the answer is to be united,
Nothing else.
We will not let this.
Horrific man disturb our peace.
He may bring bullets and fear,
But we will not let him,
Take away our sense of normalcy.
Bullet holes litter our bodies.
We will forever be ruined,
But we will not let it ruin us.
We will not be silenced.

I decided to write this piece after the tragedy in Parkland, FL. I hope the public will become more aware and not forget the horrific event that people have already stopped talking about.
